Application Deadline: Value Chain Coordination Training

The Wallace Center, in partnership with Kitchen Sync Strategies, is offering a free five-part online training that aims to equip people working in local food value chains with skills, frameworks, and tools to develop local food economies rooted in trust, equity, and transparency. The training is a combination of recorded lectures, live classes to discuss and apply learnings, and panels featuring leaders from across the country doing this work. You’ll walk away from the training with new terminology, tools and frameworks to help you strengthen, evaluate, and communicate about your work – plus some new friends! You can learn more about this training and our work in value chain coordination here

The live sessions will take place from 3-5 ET/12-2 PT every Wednesday from June 14thJuly 19th (skipping July 5th). Between each session, we’ll also ask that you watch one or two pre-recorded videos that provide the foundational content for the course. This training is a big commitment, so we ask that you only apply if you anticipate being able to attend all of the live sessions and watch recorded videos in between.

This course is designed for people who are building relationships and networks to strengthen market access for farmers and increase the availability of local food. If you have been working on making connections between producers and buyers, convening local food systems actors, providing technical assistance, or innovating new ideas, this course is for you!

Apply here! We’re seeking applications until May 5th for this course. We’ll be prioritizing applicants who identify as Black, Indigenous, or a Person of Color. We’re also looking for folks who are actively working on value chain coordination right now. If you have any questions, please send an email to FSLNinfo@winrock.org with “VCC Training” in the subject line and we’ll do our best to get back to you ASAP.
