BIPOC Only ~ Community Safety Conversation

“Join us to explore ways that we can help keep each other safe.

On June 14th, the one-month anniversary of the white supremacist attack that took place at a TOPS grocery store in Buffalo NY, we will come together for a Community Safety Conversation. There will be breakout rooms for discussion and skillshare, and we will be joined by Karen Washington, Farmer and Founder of Rise and Root Farm, Dennice Barr from the Fruit Belt Advisory Council in Buffalo, Rafael Aponte of Rocky Acres Farm, and Leah Penniman of Soul Fire Farm.

This skillshare is one of many that will be hosted by a coalition of organizations including Black Farmer Fund, Buffalo Go Green, Farm School NYC, Food for the Spirit, and NEFOC Land Trust. The goal of these skillshares are to increase financial and social sustainability and improve mental health, well-being, and community connections for Black farmers in New York State and beyond.

Please note that this is a BIPOC only space and registration is required.”
