At this free Practical Farmers of Iowa field day, visit neighbors Bobolink Prairie Farms and Wilcox Farms to learn about their goals for cover cropping, which include soil improvement, grazing forage, primary crop health and yield, and weed control. Alison Robertson, a professor of plant pathology and microbiology at ISU, will also be on hand to discuss her lab team’s research on implications for crop disease management when using cover crops.
