Erin will present on avian diversity\, discuss the importance of birds and Wisconsin\, and highlight threats to birds and why many are declining. \nDave Sample\, Conservation Biologist with the WDNR. Dave will provide an overview of grassland birds in Wisconsin\, including their population status and trends\, identification\, ecology\, and habitat preferences. He will also discuss the role that pastures can plan in the conservation of these birds. \nLaura Judge\, MS Candidate in Agroecology\, University of Wisconsin-Madison. Laura will share tips for grassland bird friendly grazing. \nChris Wilson\, Director\, Audubon Conservation Ranching Program. Chris will explain how Audubon is empowering consumers to make a difference in grassland conservation through their bird friendly land beef label. \nSerge Koenig\, Conservationist\, Sauk County. Serge has hosted many pasture walks in Sauk County and will share some details of a 2019 Pasture Walk for the Birds!
