Non-Profit Boot Camp: Grant Writing for Federal Funding

November 11, 2021 @ 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM EST

USDA has a wide variety of grant programs that can give your food systems work the boost it needs. But these grants can be tricky to apply for and win. The Wallace Center’s Food Systems Leadership Network is excited to offer this 3-session training on writing federal grant proposals. Join Margaret Krome of Michael Fields Agricultural Institute and Una Van Duvall for a 3 part series of hour-long workshops to help you develop skills for designing and writing successful federal grant proposals. This workshop will strengthen your skills, ability, and confidence around applying for federal USDA funding for food systems work. The lessons will inform, direct, and coach attendees by utilizing real-life funding examples, peer-to-peer learning, and tips and suggestions on how to design sound projects, find funding and write successful grant proposals.

Workshops will take place on the following dates and times with a “bonus” workshop and Q&A session scheduled for November 18 for anyone who would like individual discussion about their projects or funding needs. These sessions will be recorded and shared on the FSLN platform if you can’t make one or all of them. Register here!

November 9 from 1-2pm CST: How to Design a Sound Project
November 10 from 1-2pm CST: Where/how to Find Funding
November 11 from 1-2pm CST: Grant Writing Basics
